Intelligent Aliens Know About Humanity - Long Before We Remember Their Existence

In 2003, a German astronomer named Seth Shostak lectured to audience about the existence of aliens. He claimed that humanity will discover extraterrestrials within the next 20–30 years. Shostak has a few years left for his theory to come to fruition but so far, it seems highly unlikely that it will be proven. 

 

Today, Shostak leads the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Institute. His research is funded by millionaires and alien enthusiasts from all over the glove.  He set up the SETI@home project, which lets people loan out their personal computers to the SETI Institute in attempt to get one-step closer to discovering alien life.

Shostak states that in order to prove extraterrestrials exist, we need to come up with technology that enables us to analyze at least a million star systems.

To help his cause, Russian entrepreneur and physicist Yuri Milner donated $100 million to Shostak, which he used to set up the Breakthrough Initiative.

The 'Breakthrough Initiative' was developed to gather information on millions of stars using optical and radio telescopes.

So far, the initiative has limited success, forcing Shostak and others to think of alternate ways to investigate the universe.

Non-classified scientists, including some at the SETI Institute have warned of the dangers of attempting to contact other intelligent aliens. We just need to look at Earth to see what happens when intelligent civilizations encounter weaker ones.

In 2016, Stephen Hawking also echoed the same concerns. He too believes that attempting to contact powerful, intelligent beings could lead to the annihilation of humanity. This kind of misdirected thinking is inspired by subconscious fear of the unknown.

Shostak isn’t as fearful as others in the scientific community. In fact, he believes that it’s possible that humans have already attracted attention of intelligent beings from other worlds.

He says the sort of advanced technology that humans use today can detect signals emanated from galaxies located fantastic light-year distances away from our planet.

Intelligent alien beings should have technology that is far more capable than what is present on Earth.

If they are as curious about us as we are of them, according to the misdirected thinking of that vast majority of non-classified people on Earth; it won’t be long before they make their presence known.
